Psychology is a vibrant and wide-ranging discipline. At Heriot-Watt we use a variety of scientific methods to explore major aspects of, for example, the ways in which we develop from early infancy to adulthood and to old age, the ways in which we perceive the world, think, solve problems and make decisions, and the way we interact with each other.

We are a team of active researchers and teachers, and we offer a rich learning and research environment, with excellent resources that give students the opportunity to excel in their learning. We have a range of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level that provide a first-rate education, and stepping stones to a very broad range of careers.
