Dr Minu Mathews

    Assistant Professor

I am an Assistant Professor in Psychology at the School of Life Sciences.

I completed my PhD in the area of Occupational-Health Psychology from the University of Leeds, UK. My research was a cross-cultural examination of the Job Demands-Resources Model of Burnout across the UK and India. I am currently working on a few papers related to this.

I have previous experience in teaching a range of modules to both undergraduate and Masters' students. In my current position, I teach a number of courses to undergraduate students. My particular speciality is Research Methods which I teach to first, second and third year students. I also teach Social Cognition and Personality and Academic Skills amongst others. I am also involved in supervising student dissertations.

My areas of interest include stress at work, cross-cultural examinations of burnout, and the impact of work demands and work resources on health behaviours.
