Monica Tamariz obtained a PhD in Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh in 2005, where she also held two Postdoctoral Research Fellowships: ESRC (2006) and Leverhulme Trust (2007-2008), and two more postdoctoral positions in the Language Evolution and Computation research Unit. She worked briefly as postdoc in Experimental Psychology (Granada University, Spain, 2013) and then joined Edinburgh again as Teaching Fellow in Language Evolution (2013-2015). After a visiting fellowship at the Max Plank for Psycholinguistics (2016 Nijmegen, NL) she joined Psychology at Heriot Watt in August 2016. She is a member of the Centre for Language Evolution (PPLS, University of Edinburgh).
