My research interests span a number of areas relevant to health and social psychology. In particular, I have an interest in adolescent health including risk behaviours, psychological resilience, health inequalities and health-service use.
I was appointed Assistant Professor in Psychology at Heriot-Watt University in August 2016. I am also an honorary Senior Research Associate at UCL Institute of Child Health working on a Department of Health-funded portfolio of research to inform adolescent health policy. I completed my PhD focusing on wellbeing throughout the lifespan at the University of Dundee in 2009.
